Contemporary New Build House

Location: Winchester

Located not far from Winchester City Centre, positioned on a challenging sloped site, with neighbours on either side. We designed this “forever home” for our clients (a young family). Includes a large open plan kitchen, diner & family room with connection to garden & patio. utility / boot room. separate lounge, study, spacious entrance hall leading to feature Stairs with gallery landing. designs ensure optimum natural light throughout.

New Build Country House

Location: Near Romsey

Located In East Wellow, we were commissioned to design a stunning forever home (New Build Country House) for our local clients, intially providing concept designs to meet specific requirments, taking the concepts to final design, before submitting to TVBC Planning to obtain Full planning approval. We then provided full Building Regulations / Construction drawings to enable the contractor to carry out the work to completion. A central feature Oak porch abuts a traditional brick & tudor mid section with a glazed oak frame gable above, Half dormers were incorporated to create a country house aesthetic. Internally a large open plan kitchen, diner & family room, utility / boot room, a study, a separate Lounge, 4 large double bedrooms, 2 with ensuites, a master bed with dressing room & ensuite & views out to the gardens / countrside via a glazed oak frame juliet balcony.

Traditional New Build Cottage

Location: The New Forest

We were commissioned by our clients to design a traditional style country cottage within an ecologically sensitive site surrounded by Oak trees & protected habitat, on the edge of the National Park. Our design with central feature Oak porch & Half dormers, ensures a modest yet stunning aesthetic very much in keeping within its surroundings. Almost tardis like inside a large “broken plan” kitchen, diner & family room, utility / boot room, study, separate Lounge, 4 double beds each with ensuites, A master bed with dressing room & ensuite & views out over the forest via a stunning glazed oak frame juliet balcony.

Transformation Renovation & Extensions

Location: West Wellow

We loved creating the designs to completely transform a tired and dated 1970’s property into a lovely Modern Country house with some traditional features & finishes. The addition of a new 2 storey side extension and single storey rear extension, the addition of the oak feature entrance porch, stepped brick plinth, half height corbel and the false oak gable trusses, new pitched roof over the existing Garage, replacement plain clay tiles throughout, Rendered walls. Timber cladding to the garage walls all coming together nicely to create an unrecognisable house with great kerb appeal.

2 Storey side & Single Storey Rear Extensions

Location: West Wellow

We created designs to extend this 1980’s property to accommodate a new master suite – incl. dressing area & ensuite (within a new 1st floor extension on top of an adjoining Garage). The rear of the property included a new ground floor extension (orangery with 2 Large glazed roof lanterns) which opens fully in to the existing house to accommodate a large open plan kitchen, diner & family room, this new social family hub forms a flowing transition to the outside space, bringing the outside in. The designs blends in to the original house for a harmonious & balanced aesthetic

Restorations & Extensions to Historic Property

Location: Central Winchester

This large property near central Winchester dates back to the 18th Century, we were commissioned to resolve some of the poorly implemented previous extensions, whilst also adding 2 new extensions, 1 Side & 1 rear, to compliment & celebrate the original parts of the house. A loft extension infilled to resolve a clumsy, disjointed roof line, the basement was increased & waterproofed to become a great gym. A new master suite with vaulted ceilings added to the first floor. A large new kitchen, diner & family space added as a new orangery extension, an oak framed library with vaulted ceilings & a glazed gable added to the side of the house. Georgian conservation sliding sash windows replaced windows throughout.

Restorations & Extensions Grade 2 Listed Pub & Barn

Location: Whiteparish

A really lovely project with the Kings Head pub being not too far from doorstep. Our clients were keen to convert & extend this dangerously dilapidated Grade 2 listed barn (Once used as a stables for passing trade) to become an 8 bed B & B, they were also keen to add additional dining space to the rear of listed pub. It was quite a battle to achieve approval due to strong resistance from the conservation officer, however with a lot of perseverance & strong local support, approval was granted. The designs & proposals were a great success, breathing life back in to a historic building which would have otherwise crumbled away.
